This morning on April 13th, 2025, multiple charters hosting their charts on Google Drive have received DMCA takedowns from JASRAC (Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers). Some charters have also taken steps to purge their own Google Drive folders to avoid the risk of a DMCA takedown.
It is strongly recommended that you avoid hosting any copyrighted audio on Google Drive in the future.
Some people make so many charts, that they eventually decide to make their own dedicated collection to host their charts.
To make updating song folders easier, some charters will bundle a sync.bat file to download the latest changes from their Google Drive folder. This requires the use of RClone.
"Difficulty Range" is used to indicate what difficulties a majority of a charter's TJAs include (Easy/Normal/Hard/Extreme/Edit). Back in the day, many charts created were exclusively Extreme/Edit. This is still the case at times, but more and more charters have begun charting for all difficulties.
